Terms of Service

The service

AppMaker is a visual full-stack development environment for building web applications. It is currently offered as a beta. Features, the programmatic model and the user interface may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable.

Accounts

You need an account to use the Designer. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us if you think your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use AppMaker.

Fees

The AppMaker platform is currently free to use and is intended to remain free for the foreseeable future. Optional services, such as AI usage, may have associated costs. Where a service has a cost, we will show it clearly before you use it.

Your content and applications

You own the applications, code, data and other content you create with AppMaker. You grant us only the permissions needed to store, run and display your content so that we can provide the service to you. You can export your applications as standard Node.js applications and host them anywhere. You are responsible for the content you create and for the applications you deploy, including how they handle their users' data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use AppMaker to:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• distribute malware, spam or content that is abusive, deceptive or harmful;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or other systems;
• place unreasonable load on the service or interfere with its operation;
• resell or offer the AppMaker platform itself as a service without our permission.

AI features

Optional AI features, when available, generate suggestions and changes to your project. AI output can be wrong. Review anything it produces before relying on it. You are responsible for the applications you build with AI assistance in the same way as for anything else you build.

Our intellectual property

The AppMaker platform, Designer, runtime, documentation and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in them other than the right to use the service. Code included in an exported application so that it can run is licensed to you for use with that application.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, particularly while it is in beta. Where practical we will give notice of significant changes. We recommend exporting your applications regularly.

Termination

You can stop using AppMaker and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Sections about your content, intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability continue to apply after termination.

Disclaimer

AppMaker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of AppMaker. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will let you know through the service or by email. Continuing to use AppMaker after a change means you accept the updated terms.
